Lands in London the Italianjazz

In collaboration with the Association Italian Nights in London represented by Dr. Roberto M. Maranca and with the collaboration of Dr. Luigi Angelini, Dr Lucio Carta and Dr Giancarlo Pelati, Villa Celimontana, with the stage-managed Giampiero Rubei (patron of various manifestation as Jazz & image, Montalcino Jazz & Wine, Jazz on the Road and Jazz on the Beach, and the cult club of the Capital The Alexanderplaz), will organize a festival devoted to the Italian jazz.

The event will take place in the most exclusive jazz clubs and pubs of London.

The purpose of the project “Italianjazz in London” is to convey and spread Italian jazz culture, its identity and an extraordinary vitality, demonstrating a great desire to break in the English stage. London is the perfect place to receive the Italian jazz heritage.

Over the course of the week-long festival, there will be a combination of Italian music and Italian traditions, making Italy a protagonist in London. It looks to be a celebration of Italian jazz, both as a musical and cultural genre which will testify its extraordinary vivacity and variety.

Considered one of Italy’s most important cultural exports, the festival gives an opportunity to see a variety of the best Italian jazz on offer today, from both past and present. In Italy, where nobody could have predicted the growing success of the jazz genre, a type of “Italian school” was created which appealed to the younger generation.

It can also be said that London at present moment is the great stage economically speaking and that music can be a dragging element for Italian products.

The Artists, as the real protagonists of the event, are selected from the national platform and have played with some of the best international artists.
